5 Year Plan: 2015 through 2020

The Parish has established a committee to work with Father to develop and execute a five year plan for our community of St. Ann’s Parish.  The first meeting of this committee was December 6th, 2014.  As a result, we are in the very early stages of plan development, but here’s an outline of some of the elements we have documented to date:

  • Faith Education Program 2015: The year of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
  • Parish Missions –  September 2015: Permanent Deacon Eddie Lavoie.  September 2016: Fr. Brian Mullady O.P ?
  • Youth Group – Students from Grade 8th – 12th.
  • Parish Pictorial Book – Plan to take pictures in the Fall of 2015 and/or Spring 2016.  Looking to deliver the finished product for Christmas 2016.
  • Parish Anniversary Quilt – Put together a large quilt commemorating the Parish’s 60th Anniversary.  Plan to complete for Christmas 2017.
  • Parish Historical Book – We want to collect and document stories and memories from the history of our faith community.  From now through 2016, we’re asking everyone to dig deep and recall unique experiences or fond memories and submit them to stories@stannsquesnel.org.  We’ll take 2017 to organize, clean up and edit all your stories and then look to publish them for Christmas 2018.
    • If you’re not too sure how to get started putting together your story,  we’ve put together a couple of templates for you:

  • Social Celebrations – parish picnic, parish pot luck dinner, parish fund raising during the Year: Spring (after Easter) , Summer (Feast of St. Ann’s July 26th ), Winter ( before/after Christmas or New Year Eve).
