My dear parishioners and visitors;
Every year on the 2nd Sunday of Lent we hear the story of Jesus’ transfiguration. The transfiguration is an epiphany story. It shows or reveals Jesus’ divinity: the Son of God, His mission: the true Messiah, and his glorified destiny: the resurrection.
The transfiguration of Jesus will be ours if we attentively listen to Him, faithfully following Him, generously and courageously living and giving our lives to and for Him.
Sin disfigures us. Repentance transfigures us. Lent is the time of grace to turn our lives toward Jesus, the Son of God, who will transform and glorify us both in body and soul. (Phi. 3: 20).
Our sacristy is slowly and surely “transfigured”. The volunteers are now generously working on mudding and sanding the ceiling and the drywall. I am deeply grateful to these hidden heroes of our parish-family.
