Ministries

Parish ministries focus on building up our local church Body through the ministries listed below. Click the ministry title for details on that ministry and how you can participate!

Lectors

In the reading of the Scriptures, God is present among us, speaking to us in his word and inviting us to respond in faith and love.  What a wonderful gift and privilege to perform this service in our community.  If you are interested in becoming a lector, please contact Mary at the Parish office or Lonnie Canuel at 250-992-6392 or by email at dlcanuel@gmail.com.

Altar Servers

This is a ministry, like all ministries in our Church, that will be scheduled on a rotating basis on Sundays. Therefore, parent(s) are required to make a commitment to make sure their child is at the Church when scheduled or a replacement found if unable to make that time. So, if your son/daughter has indicated that he/she wants to be trained as an Altar Server for our Parish Masses then please download our Altar Server Permission form, print, sign, return to your Teacher, School or Parish office.

If you’re already an Altar Server and you want to brush up on the procedures during Mass, download our instructions.

For more information about our Altar Server program, please contact Shannon Moleski.

Healing

This Ministry can reach out to parishioners of all ages to assist in meeting many aspects of their health needs.

Health is a dynamic process that embodies the spiritual, psychological, physical, and social dimensions of the person. God’s intent for harmony and wholeness, serves as a foundation for understanding health. A sense of well-being can exist in the presence of imbalance, and healing can exist in the absence of cure. (Hickman, 2011)

Ministry hours are Tuesdays from 4:30pm to 6:00pm in the church foyer.  If you or someone you know can benefit from this ministry, drop by or phone Pat Tresierra MA, BScN, RN at 250-992-6733.
