Happy Easter 2015!

Dear parishioners and visitors;

“We are Easter People and Alleluia is our Song” (St. Augustine).

Lent season, a special times to prepare for Easter, is over and today we come joyfully to celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who had died but had powerfully risen.

Easter has been always one of the most important and joyful celebrations of our faith. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that “Easter is not simply one feast among others, but the Feast of Feasts, the Solemnity of Solemnities” (CCC # 1169). By Jesus’ death and resurrection we, being his faithful follower, are born not to die, but to rise to new life after our own physical death.
May we, “Easter People”(St. Augustine calls us), all live well the mystery of Our Lord’s death and resurrection in our daily life by setting our hearts and minds on Heaven and by seeking the things that are above (Colossians 3:1) until we all will be singing our own Alleluia in eternity.

I am happy to welcome all of you, my dear parishioners, and visitors to our Easter’s Celebration on this weekend. Please remember we are Catholic for life and “Easter People” every day. I am happy to see all of you not only at Easter or Christmas and very happy to see you all faithfully being at every Sunday mass.

Have a blessed & happy Easter.

Fr. Peter Hoan Nguyen, your pastor.
