My dear parishioners and visitors.
We are now in the 2nd week of the ordinary times. The readings is about God’s call and our personal response to His call. “Come and see” (Jn. 1:39) was Jesus’ invitation to Andrew, John and Simon (Peter). They generously accepted Jesus’ invitation and after being with Jesus their lives completely changed. “Come and See” is also Jesus’ invitation to all of us today.
You have accepted his invitation by coming faithfully to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the mass, the Eucharist, every Sunday and some of you every day. May we be blessed with a listening and discerning heart of Samuel and a generous heart of Andrew, John and Peter always ready to say: “Here I am, Lord, I come to do your will” (Psalm 40).
Food for this week’s reflection: “Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you….. Therefore glory God in your body” (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
Last October I shared with you my 5 Years-Plan 2015-2020. I would like tell you that we now have “the 5 Years-Plan-Committee”. The Committee have had two meetings on Dec. 6th 2014 and on January 10th 2015.
I will share with you the Committee’s ideas and visions for our parish family in the following weeks’ bulletin. Have a good weekend and a blessed week.
