My dear parishioners:
This year 2016 is a very special year for our parish-family: 60th anniversary of the parish (1956-2016), 50th anniversary of the Knight of Columbus (1966-2016), 30th anniversary of St. Ann’s, our parish-school (1986-2016).
Some of you are celebrating your own significant wedding anniversaries. May I also mention to you it is my 60th birthday and 25th priestly ordination.
I would like to invite, to ask and to encourage all of you, my dear parishioners and visitors, please help me and join with me and with one another to celebrate these significance anniversaries on Sunday, June 19th, with a special mass at 11.00 a.m., following with a parish family pot luck lunch in the Center. There will be no 9.00 a.m. Mass on June 19th.
Our Bishop David Monroe, the former pastors of our parish and the priests of the diocese could not come to be with us on Sunday, June 19th. So I have invited them to come celebrating the anniversary-mass for us and with us on Wednesday, June 1st, at 7.00 p.m., then a reception after the mass in the Center. There will be no 9.00 a.m. Mass on Wednesday, June 1st.
